How can I get rid of the unleaded petrol spilt on the vinyl flooring in a toyota landcruiser. I have washed with hot soapy water. But can’t get rid of the fumes / smell. Will I have to wait till it evaporates away? Have to drive around with the windows open all the time.

Try oven cleaner. Spray on and wipe off. If that doesn’t work then yes, you’ll just have to wait until it evaporates.
Poor some concentrated dishwashing detergent over the stain. Rub in. Rinse. Repeat.
