Thinners residue on wooden floor

Thinners were used to remove glue (Xylene) when wooden flooring was laid. Xylene has left a dull mark of the boards. How can I remove it? HELP!!

No, the thinners have removed the top layer.

Dr Chemical

All it has done is remove the coating on the wood. It won’t damage the wood. I’m not exactly sure what’s in wood polish, but presumably it’s some sort of wax. As that is essentially hydrocarbons, the xylene will dissolve it. So all you need to do is recoat and repolish it
