Safe cleaner for leather lounges

Hi, I have two leather lounge suites one beige one green, could you please recommend something to clean them of general grime from everyday use,I have avoided buying so called “leather cleaning “products due to the expensive costs ,at the moment I just wipe them with soapy cloth and dry them but it doesn’t remove grime from my husband’s oily skin ,thank you, love listening to you on Curtin radio ,excellent advice always , cheers Jennifer Rainnie

how do I remove biro from my leather chair

Dr Chemical

Try Sugar Soap. It’s essentially washing soda so that should do the job. If not, non-caustic oven cleaner. If it’s a little dull afterwards, replenish with either Dubbin or Neatsfoot oil

My leather recliner has gradually, over the last 20 years, developed a dinner plate sized stain on the head rest. I originally thought it liked rustic to fit in with the leather which is very natural looking and soft textured. I have used leather cleaning products but the stain doesn’t lighten and looks even darker after l’ve finished.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
