I have some old mirrors which are mounted in picture frames I would like to use these frames for some historical family pictures is it possible to remove the mirror coating from the back of the mirrors so I may then use this clear glass for the picture frames. Thank you so much.Regards Ian

If anything will work it’s hydrochloric acid. Use it as strong as you like – it won’t damage the glass. Make sure you follow the safety instructions on the label
