If that doesn’t work, soak a rag with metho, and blot it up. This may cause it to smear at first, but if you do it enough it should eventually work. If it doesn’t, try acetone instead. One of them should work

Ok it’s time to try an oxidiser. The best one I’m aware of is Preen Oxy Action. Spray it on and just leave it. Might need to reapply it. If that doesn’t work, try some Ajax powder Cleanser. It contains powdered bleach, which is a stronger oxidiser. Sprinkle a generous amount on, wet it with a minimum of water and just leave it. But before you do that, test it on an inconspicuous part of the carpet – it’s possible that it may bleach the colour out of the carpet
