Hi there, a powder room in my 1 year old house smells like acetone, on and off. No idea why, have called the plumber out and he couldn’t figure it out either. What would cause acetone in a bathroom please?

I can’t see how it could be acetone. It’s very volatile and evaporates very quickly. It’s no doubt some other form of ketone, but I’m afraid I can’t tell you what.
