LAUNDRY – Borax vs boric acid, product with complete mix of catalytic enzymes, surfactants, citric acid

Hi

I find the cost of laundry products to be prohibitively expensive.

I use a mix of products (pix below), dissolved first in a bucket of hot water, in a cold wash in every laundry load & was wondering if replacing borax with boric acid would give a better clean?

If so how much should I use?

I would be very obliged if you are able to add any other items to this for the cleanest laundry ever!

I’ve read that for optimum stain removal power meaningful quantities of these catalytic enzymes & surfactants should be present & was wondering if you’d know of a product with a complete concentration of these enzymes & a product with these surfactants.

Catalytic enzymes
amylase
cellulase
lipase
mannanase
pectinase
Surfactants

alkyl sulfates (anionic)
alkyl ethoxylate sulfates (anionic)
ethers of fatty alcohol (non-ionic)

For an extra boost in stain removal as thinking of adding citric acid & sodium percarbonate neat rather than as part of a mix as in the Coles product (seen below).

These are the products I use in every cold wash laundry load.

Coles Lemon Fresh Hot And Cold Wash Laundry Powder 4kg everyday product $3.70 $0.93 per 1Kg

Coles Ultra Oxy Action Laundry Booster & Soaker 1kg everyday product $3.50 1kg
Active Ingredient: Sodium Percarbonate 320g/kg

Lectric Washing Soda Powder 1kg $4.00

Bare Essentials Borax Cleaner 500g $4.10

Thank you!

Look forward to your response!
